Incident Details:

On October 17, 2024, at approximately 05:09 PM, officers arrested a suspect at a retail store on Highway 95 North following a theft in progress. Store personnel identified the suspect as being involved in multiple previous thefts. Upon review of security footage, it was confirmed that on several occasions, the suspect scanned only one of two bundled items, leaving the second unpaid.

During the most recent incident on October 2, 2024, the suspect was observed scanning and bagging three cans of tuna but scanning only one. Additionally, the suspect placed two packages of meat together and scanned just one of them. After completing the checkout process with unpaid items, the suspect exited the store without attempting to pay for the rest.

The stolen items included avocados, lemons, frozen cod, and a tomahawk steak, with a total value of $82.14. Store representatives provided officers with video footage, receipts, and photographs, which were collected as evidence. The suspect was indefinitely trespassed from the store, with the terms explained and acknowledged.

During transport to the patrol vehicle, the suspect became agitated and began hyperventilating. Officers adjusted the handcuffs to the front to improve comfort, and the suspect declined medical attention. The individual was transported to the Lake Havasu City jail, where she was booked, cited, and held for court.
