Suspect Arrested for Domestic Violence Threats on Sunray Drive

On September 18, 2024, at approximately 02:09 AM, officers responded to a domestic violence incident on Sunray Drive. The suspect threatened the victim, saying, “I’m going to [expletive] kill you,” during an argument. This threat was captured on audio recordings provided by the victim.

Upon arrival, the victim recounted that the suspect became aggressive after accusing him of stealing mail. He expressed fear that the suspect might injure herself and falsely accuse him to get him arrested. Officers listened to the recordings, which confirmed the threat had been made.

The suspect admitted during questioning that she may have made the statement but claimed it was an expression, not a genuine threat. Officers observed that the two had been living together for six years. The victim received a victim rights form, and a safety plan was discussed.

The suspect was taken into custody, transported to the Lake Havasu City jail, and booked for domestic violence-related threats.
