Incident Details:

On September 12, 2024, between approximately 4:30 PM and 8:30 PM, a bicycle was reported stolen from outside a local business on McCulloch Boulevard North. The bicycle, a blue full-suspension Kent mountain bike valued at $250, was left unsecured and parked beneath a surveillance camera. The victim discovered the bike missing upon exiting the business and informed staff, who suggested returning the following day for surveillance footage.

On September 18, 2024, officers patrolling Mesquite Avenue identified the suspect, who was previously linked to the bicycle theft based on video evidence. Officers made contact, and the suspect admitted to taking the bicycle, claiming it was at an apartment on Bahama Avenue. Officers recovered the stolen bike and observed that the suspect had injuries consistent with a recent bicycle crash, further corroborating the case details.

The bicycle was returned to the police station for safekeeping, and officers booked the suspect without incident. The case was marked as cleared by arrest.
