Emergency Responders have been dispatched at 15:09:49 on 04/04/19 for a Fire in the Garage at 2313 Huntington Drive.

Occupants have evacuated the residence.

Truck 1, Engine 6, Engine 3 and Battalion Chief arriving on scene.

Engine on scene reporting this is a working Garage Fire.

Neighbors are reporting explosions coming from the garage.

 

The husband and wife and their dog got out of the home unharmed.

 

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

At approximately 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2019, a fire was reported by the homeowner in the 2300 block of Huntington Drive. The occupants discovered smoke in the garage and evacuated the residence. The first arriving Engine Company reported smoke coming from the garage door. Five Engine Companies, one Truck Company, one Division Chief, and a Battalion Commander responded to the fire. There were no reported injuries. CERT responded to the fire to assist with Rehab duties for the firefighters. Crews remained on the scene an additional four hours conducting salvage operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation. A second alarm was called to staff Command Officers and reserve apparatus for additional calls in the City. Resources were also requested from Desert Hills Fire District and Buckskin Fire Departments due to multiple, multi-company incidents during the same time frame.
