Incident Details:
On October 17, 2024, at approximately 05:09 PM, officers arrested a suspect at a retail store on Highway 95 North following a theft investigation. The suspect was identified as being involved in multiple prior shoplifting incidents, with records showing eight separate cases from August 14 to October 13, 2024. In each instance, the suspect doubled items at the self-checkout, scanning only one while bagging both.
During the most recent event, the suspect scanned only one tray of ground beef from a bundle of two and entered three lemons instead of six. Security staff observed the theft through live footage and alerted officers on-site. The suspect became argumentative during the interaction and was handcuffed to ensure compliance.
The stolen items on this occasion included:

The individual complained of difficulty breathing during transport and was allowed to wear handcuffs in the front for comfort. She declined medical assistance and was transported to the Lake Havasu City jail, where she was booked, cited, and held for court.
