Incident Details:

On October 17, 2024, at approximately 05:09 PM, officers arrested a suspect at a retail store on Highway 95 North for shoplifting and trespassing. The incident stemmed from an ongoing investigation into multiple shoplifting events involving the same individual. Between August 14 and October 13, 2024, the suspect visited the store eight times, each time using a similar method of theft: placing two items together and scanning only one at the self-checkout.

During the most recent incident on August 25, 2024, the suspect was observed failing to scan a bag of trail mix valued at $4.00. After scanning and paying for other items, the suspect exited the store without attempting to pay for the trail mix.

Upon contact, the suspect became argumentative and refused to cooperate with store security and officers. Due to her escalating behavior, officers handcuffed the suspect and escorted her to the patrol vehicle. Video footage and related evidence from all eight incidents were collected and entered into the case file.

The suspect was transported to the Lake Havasu City jail, where she was booked, cited, and held for court. She was also indefinitely trespassed from the store, with the terms explained and acknowledged by the suspect.
